At Everway, we’re the result of a powerful union between Texthelp and n2y, two pioneers with over 50 years of experience in transforming education and the workplace. Our journey began with a shared belief: that everyone can learn and deserves to be understood. With a team of over 600 people across the UK, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, the USA, and Australia, we are committed to making learning and work more inclusive, accessible, and engaging for all. In March 2024, n2y and Texthelp merged to create a stronger, unified force in inclusive learning. By combining their expertise, they now offer comprehensive tools that empower learners of all abilities in both education and the workplace. n2y's journey...

The n2y journey began in 1997 when speech-language pathologist Jacquie Clark set out to help her special education students improve their communication, comprehension, and socialization skills. To support this, she created News2you®, a weekly newspaper that used current events to foster literacy development. As student needs evolved, so did n2y, transitioning from print to digital to provide individuals with special needs meaningful access to the world around them.

Texthelp's journey...

In 1996, Martin McKay founded the business after witnessing his father struggle to communicate following a severe stroke. At that time, assistive technology was limited, so Martin decided to create solutions himself. For over 20 years, Texthelp’s mission has been to develop technologies that help people read, write, and research with confidence. These tools are designed to support individuals in reaching their full potential, whether in school or the workplace.

With over 50 years of combined expertise, Calypso is set to revolutionize how diverse learning and communication needs are met in both education and the workplace.

Our Goal for 2030

By 2030, Calypso aims to impact 1 billion people worldwide, enhancing literacy, numeracy, and understanding by leveraging n2y's special education knowledge and Texthelp's assistive technology expertise.
