Ateliers

Part of Grenoble's network of 12 libraries, it is open to all and free of charge. Its unique feature is that it offers a wide range of collections, including books, CDs, DVDs, magazines and games, in the 6 languages taught at the Lycée Europole: German, English, Arabic, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese, as well as French and French as a foreign language.

The International library of Grenoble

Every month, we offer free workshops, including book clubs, conversation workshops and storytelling and children's songs. We also regularly organise events linked to local festivals such as the Détours de Babel, as well as screenings linked to national events such as Documentary Film Month. We also welcome writers, usually for meetings in their native languages.

Workshops at the international library

The Cité Scolaire Internationale Europole is a public school comprising a collège and a lycée, offering French and foreign pupils courses in international sections (DNBI, BFI) or bi-national sections (ESABAC, ABIBAC).

Robert Schuman

Robert Schuman square

Place Robert Schuman is the heart of Grenoble's Europole business district. The square is built in the modern style of the La Défense district in Paris. It's a large square with abstract status, surrounded by designer buildings with tinted windows and the purest possible style. The square is also where you'll find the entrance to the Convention Centre, as well as access to Grenoble train station.

Robert Schuman

Robert Schuman was a French statesman under the Third and Fourth Republics. He is regarded as the "Father of Europe". In his declaration of 9 May 1950, he formalised the first European cooperation around the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC), which later became the European Union (EU). He was also the first President of the European Parliamentary Assembly (now the European Parliament) from 1958 to 1960.

Grenoble train station

Founded in 1858, the TGV station is served nationally by the Lyon-Marseille line and regionally by its TER network. The bus station, meanwhile, has a strong presence at departmental level with its Express lines, as well as at national and European level with the Flixbus and Eurolines lines. There are at least two mobility schemes for young people: Interrail and Discover EU.

Institut universitaire de technologie de Grenoble II

The University's International Relations Department manages the arrival and departure of students and the development of partnerships with foreign partner universities. It gives students the opportunity to spend a semester, a year or an internship abroad.
