The first stage is to drill what is called the surface hole down to a depth of 100 feet below the deepest known aquifer. The last steps are cementing and testing, well completion, fracking, production and fracking fluid recycle, and well abandonment and land restoration.

There are many advantages of crude oil. Some of these are its easy availability, it being a major source of energy, and it's easy to extract. But along with ups, there are downs. Some of these downsides are the fact that it's non-renewable, the carbon dioxide emissions from the drilling and rig sites, drilling may disturd wildlife habitat.
