  • Establishing personal connections is an important part of the onboarding process. To help foster those connections, we have created onboarding cohorts: this is a group of team members that you have something in common with even before meeting them, the month you start! Every cohort shares a private Slack channel.
  • Your cohort Slack channel name is #new-hires-2024-November
  • You will be added to your cohort Slack channel on your cohort's start date. Please note, we can’t add you to your cohort Slack channel until you have logged into Slack for the first time.
  • The cohort Slack channel is used to:
    • Ask and receive answers to any questions you and your fellow cohort members may have
    • Share reminders of tasks you should complete, content you should review, and key resources you may need. These reminders mirror the Onboarding Program Checklist.
    • Reminders about upcoming synchronous sessions
    • Opportunities to engage, get to know, and stay in contact your fellow cohort team members

What is an Onboarding Cohort?

For your first 4-weeks, we have matched you with an Onboarding Buddy: this is an existing team member outside of your direct team that you can go to with questions, learn about our culture & company, while also offering an opportunity for casual conversation and rapport-building. Your buddy may have been in touch to introduce themselves the week before your start date and will be scheduling an initial meet & greet during your first week. If you do not hear from your buddy before the end of your 1st week, please contact RemoteOnboarding@vista.com.

What is Onboarding Buddy Program?

We have scheduled a series of Synchronous Sessions (live sessions over Google Meet) for you to attend with your cohort or with other new team members. These sessions are meant to help build culture, community, and context. Calendar invites for the following dates and times have been sent from RemoteOnboarding@vista.com. If you’re missing any calendar invites, please reach out to us!

What are Synchronous Sessions?

Remote-First New Hire Reimbursement- all newly hired remote-first team members are eligible for a one-time reimbursement during the first 60 days of employment to offset the cost of expenses incurred to set up a safe and productive working space Remote-First Expense Offset- you are also eligible for the Remote-First Expense Offset during your first full month of employment (i.e. if you do not work all of the working days in the first month you start, your first remote-first expense offset claim can be made in the following calendar month). Based on our review of local laws, team members classified as a remote-first worker in Blueprint are eligible to either make a monthly reimbursement claim via Concur, or to automatically receive a monthly allowance via payroll (or in certain situations a combination of a monthly reimbursement and a monthly allowance).

You have automatically been assigned a learning path in 360Learning, our Learning Management System, titled 100-day Remote-First Onboarding Program. To access your learning path, please click the link in your email (from 360Learning directly) or login to 360Learning using Single Sign On (SSO) and the learning path should be at the top of your homepage.
