Trenches weapons

Granades

The grenade consisted of a hollow handle with a detonator and an explosive head at one end.

Flamethrowers and Machine guns

.The flamethrower was inevitably redesigned and perfected over the following years, although the models seen during the early days of World War I were developed during the turn of the 19th to 20th centuries. Richar Fielder invented them

The Lewis was a light machine gun introduced in the First World War and used in this conflict by the forces of the British Empire. The weapon was privately designed in the United States but not adopted and its design was finalized and mass produced in the United Kingdom.

Chemicals and Aeroplanes

Chemicals

chemicals, such as mustard gas, were used. They caused blindness and sufocation.soldiers had to wear gas mask to protect themselves.

Aeroplanes

Aeroplanes were initially used to reconaissance, but later for fighting and bombing

Unrestrticted Submarine Warfare

On 4 February 1915, Germany declared a war zone around Britain, within which merchant ships were sunk without warning. This 'unrestricted submarine warfare' angered neutral countries, especially the United States.
