Biogeochemical Cycles
Oxygen Cycle
Oxygen cycle refers to the movement of oxygen through the biosphere of the atmosphere, the lithosphere, and the circulation of oxygen there. In various forms through nature, free in nature in the air and dissolved in water, oxygen is second only to nitrogen in abundance.
Carbon Cycle
Carbon cycle is nature's way of reusing carbon atoms, which travel from the atmosphere into organisms in the earth and then back into the atmosphere over again carbon moves the atmosphere to the land ocean and life through biological chemical geological and physical processes in a cycle called the carbon cycle.
Nitrogen Cycle
Nitrogen cycle is a biogeochemical process through which nitrogen is converted into many forms, consecutively passing from the atmosphere to the soil to organisms. Back in the atmosphere, nitrogen becomes available to organisms. What do changes in nitrogen levels as a result of human activity mean for local and global
sulfur cycle
The sulfur cycle describes the movement of sulfur through the geosphere and biosphere and the circulation of sulfur in various forms through nature. Sulfur occurs in all living matter as a component of certain amino acids.
phosphorus cycle.
The phosphorus cycle is slow compared to other biogeochemical cycles such as the water, carbon, and nitrogen cycles. It passes through freshwater and terrestrial ecosystems via plants, grazers, predators, and parasites.
