Do's -Ask questions and keep asking -Be ready to listen -Help them get support -Cut them some slack -Make Changes as a family -Encourage supportive relationships Dont's -Criticism and punishment -Judging self harm behaviors -Taking things personally "Above all, dont forget to emphasize that you're on their side and will do whatever it takes to get them support"(Raypole, 2022)
