SAMR is about using technology in order to enhance your lesson! In order, Substitution changes things just to a new format, Augmentation changes it while adding small improvements, Modification changes the lesson to improve learning, and Redefinition teaches the lesson in ways inconceivable before. These are not mutually exclusive or inclusive. You can do some and not others!

TPAK is a combination of three ideas- Teaching with technology, Student learning experiences, and strategic use. If you can effectively combine all three of these, it's a great way of teaching!
