PAST SIMPLE
USE: We use past simple with finished actions,states or habits in the past. We usually have a past time word (Yesterday, last week, last Summer, in 1975...)
STRUCTURE: Subject + - Regular Verbs: Ending in -ed - Irregular Verbs: Change their form

USE: We use the past perfect to describe a past action that occured before another past action.
STRUCTURE: It is formed using the auxiliary "had" + the past participle of the main verb.
NOTE: These are some time expressions used with this tense: already, yet, by the time, when, just, before/after...
