aLL ABOUT TPACK, SMAR, AND THE 4 C'S
Lorem ipsum euismod tincidunt ut laoreet.
I think I found a new way to incorporate technology in our classroom!
Great! Ive been trying to come up with ideas but I cant seem to find anything I like.
Yes me too! So what are you thinking?
TPACK what is that?
Ive been reasearching and came across The 4C's, TPACK, and SAMR. I think they would completly change our classrooms!
Im intrested in what SAMR means
End?
Wow. Whats its purpose?
Awesome. So, TPACK stands for Technological Padagogical Content Knowledge.
Right, An example I would use in the classroom would be TPACK works really well for science lessons. I would use it to explain things like the water cycle. I would break them into groups to do research about the cycle. To integrate technology I would have them make interactive posters. Then present it to the class to explain what their though process was.
So its not just about knowing how to do it but also applying it.
Its a way for teachers to to increase student learning while using effectively the right tools and technology.
Now im intrested in what SAMR is.
SAMR stands for Subsitution, Augmentation, Modification, and Redefinition. Its goal is to promote and encourage teachers to go beyond their comport zone with technology and make their lessons more engaging and meanful not just going through the same motions.
I A way I would use SAMR in the classroom would be through math lessons. I would first introduce them with a regular worksheet. The I would use a fun app where they could visualize it better. Then they could work in groups to collaboarte and come uo with a presentation or game. That would make math more exciting for students.
I think that's great. What about the 4 C's. How does it tie in with everything.
I think I know the 4 C's. Critical thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, and Communication
Yes! Think about it like this. The 4 C's are the most important. They tie everything together.
So an example for English could be to have students read a short story and then work in groups to brainstorm and outline their own stories, this brings creativity and collaboration. Afterward, each group will present their story summaries to the class, allowing them to practice critical thinking and communication skills.
End?
They're important skills that help students succeed in today’s world. By including these skills in lessons, teachers make learning more interesting and relevant. When combined with TPACK and SAMR, the 4 C's create engaging, technology-rich classrooms that support deeper understanding and teamwork.
End?
Yes, that would be a great way! Thank you for allowing me to share my new ideas with you guys!
