PLAYERS

Playmakers must access online learning using Topgolf’s WiFi only. The use of cellular data is prohibited.
Tournament Event Set-up begins with a Pre-shift where all Playmakers who will be executing the Tournament Event review the BEO together and define who does what and when.
The pre-shift is conducted by the Tournament Lead and includes all Playmakers who will be supporting the Tournament:
  • Tournament Ambassadors
  • Event Ambassadors
  • Topgolf Coaches
  • Front of House Managers
The Pre-shift must begin at least 1 and a half hours prior to the start of the event.
Wherever all Playmakers who will be executing the event can gather. Like in the Bays, The Hub, or another area!

Event Sales

The Event Sales Team begins the process by booking the event, adding-on the tournament, asking the client if they have any special requests (like awards, prizes, photos, etc.) and setting up the Tournament Leaderboard in VGS. But on the day of the event, the Sales Team passes the baton to Operations, in the form of the BEO, to execute the Tournament Event.

Tournament Lead

The set-up and execution of the Tournament Event is overseen by a “Tournament Lead”. Depending on the size of the event, The Playmaker who is the Lead might change. For events with 30 or more Players, it can be the Director of Instruction or a Topgolf Coach. For events with fewer than 30 Players, the Golf Services Leader will designate one of the Tournament Ambassadors as the Tournament Lead.
The purpose of the Pre-shift is to ensure 100% alignment on Tournament roles and responsibilities so Players receive a seamless Tournament Event Experience.

Tournament Ambassador

Tournament Ambassadors are specially-trained Playmakers who set-up and execute the Tournament Event and are on-hand throughout the tournament to assist Players and answer their questions. As Player count increases, more Tournament Ambassadors are added. 1 Tournament Ambassador is added for each additional 18 Players.

Golf Service Leader

Depending on your org chart, the Manager in charge of scheduling for Golf Services might be the Hospitality Manager over Golf Services, The Golf Services Manager, or the Operations Manager over Golf Services. Whoever it is, they are responsible for scheduling a Tournament Lead and Tournament Ambassadors based on the size of the event as communicated by the Director of Sales.
The use of personal devices for training is entirely voluntary. Playmakers may opt out of using personal devices at any time and may request a company-provided device from their Trainer.
Exercise caution to protect sensitive company information while using personal devices. Keep login credentials confidential.
