Introduction

Purpose:

Throughout the year, we will be offering incentives to encourage IXL engagement and growth amongst students.

The first incentive we are offering is for students to complete the Fall Power Up in IXL.

Here are the details to communicate to your classes:

1. Complete the Fall Power Up skills for Math and ELA
2. Skills should be completed to 100 (Smart Score)
3. The first 20 students to complete the Power Up in Math and the first 20 students to complete the Power Up in ELA in each grade level will be awarded donuts with their hot chocolate after the Turkey Trot.

• The Turkey Trot is on November 25th.
• We are recommending a student deadline of Thursday, November 21st.
• This way you have enough time to check who completed the challenge.
• Afterwards, please send the names of the winning students to Ken, so they can enjoy their treats on the 25th!

1. In IXL, hover on LEARNING
2. Under Skill Plans, click on IXL PLANS
3. Scroll to the Fall Power Up for your subject
4. Click on the PIN icon next to your grade level

To view student scores on the Power Up:

1. Hover on ANALYTICS
2. Click on SCORE GRID
3. Click Skill Plans at STANDARDS/SKILL PLANS
4. Select the drop down box for FALL POWER UP
5. *View student smart scores for all included skills.
6. Check regularly to see who finishes and make note of the date.
