Snowed In
START
Introduction
You and your friends decide to do a 24-hour overnight challenge at an abandoned jail. As you're exploring, the temperature rapidly drops, and you realize a blizzard's coming! By the time your friends find the exit, you realize you're stuck because of the snow! There are many problems you and your friends will face, but you must escape soon! It's only getting colder, so hurry!

You find a cat playing with something that looks like a key, but it doesn't want to share. Find the answer to unlock a lunch pail so you can distract it with some food:(-3x^2 + 2x - 4) / (x-2)
6x^2+9x-3/x-2
01
Correct! You successfully distract the cat and take the key from it. There's some strange noise coming from inside the nearby cell. Open it.
Inside the cell, you see a dog holding a box. Saying its name is the key to get the box, but it's acting too aggressive to see the collar. There's a note on the floor that can help you decipher its name. Find the zeroes of the equation to match them up with the letters.
02
You ar given the equation: x^4-5x^3+2x^2+20x-24, with one zero being 3. Which of the following numbers are the zeros?
1, 3 multi.2
-2, 3, 2 multi.2
4 multi. 2, 5
√5, 7, 4, 6, 3
Correct! Match up the zero's to the name.

Number Chart
Based on the number to letter chart, what's the dog's name?
Fred
Spot
Oreo
Reed
02
Correct! Oreo hears you say his name and instantly becomes friendly, allowing you to grab the box and look inside!
02
The box contains a battery! This may be helpful later, so we'll hold onto this.

You find a door marked maintainance. There could be something useful in there... but there's a lock preventing you from entering. There's a note on the floor that reads, "What are all possible solutions for the function: (2x+8)/(x^2-2x-24)?" Solve the problem to enter.

0,6,-4,1/5
6,4,1/8,-2
(x+7)/(x+9)
04
Congrats, you got inside! There's a locker hiding in the corner that has another code. A scribble under the locker reads, "((5x^2+24x-5)/(5x^2-15x))" Solve the problem to get inside.
(x+5)/(5x(x+3))
(2x-5)/(8x(x-4))
04
You got the right answer and unlocked the locker! Search through it to find a gas can.
04
You found it! We'll hold onto this for now.

There are 4 objects, one of which can help you break down a door. Solve the equation to find the object best suited to break open the door: -2(x-2)^2-2y=2
05
That's correct! You broke the door and got inside.
x=-4
x=6
x=2
Inside, you find the very thing you were hoping to find: a snowplow! You fill the tank with the gas you found and replaced the battery. The door to the outside can be opened, but the snow's getting pretty high and you'll need to act fast. All you need now is a key, but the one you got earlier is only for the cell doors. There are 3 keys hanging on a hook, each with a number. The keyhole on the snowplow reads: 10/x^2-2x + 4/x = 5/x-2.
Congratulations!
You chose the right key and successfuly started up the snowmplow. You escaped the prison before the snow got too high!
Are you sure you want to exit?
