Early life
Buffalo Bill’s Wild West show made eight tours across Europe. It debuted in London during Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee, receiving high praise from European royalty. The show visited other European countries like France and Italy. The show returned to the US in 1893 but later resumed its European tours. The tour was succesful because it represented a far reality from europian society, with a great credibility.

Buffalo Bill had was awarded with a Medal of Honor and was honored by two U. S. postage stamps. In Cody was founded also a museum dedicated to him.
Cody respected Native Americans and their rights and he employed many of them in his shows, offering them a fair pay. Cody also supported the rights of women

William Frederick Cody, known as Buffalo Bill, was an american bison hunter and showman who became famous in the world thanks to his Wild West shows.

William Cody died in January of 1917 at his sister's home in Denver. Upon the news of his death he was honored by many important figures of the time, like George V.
In the 1870's Cody arrived in Wyoming and, fascinated by the great possibilities and resouces of this territory, he invested and had an important contribute in founding the town of Cody.

In 1883 he founded ''Buffalo Bill's Wild West'' and with his show he became famous in the US and in Europe, setting scenes with skill tests, staged races and other attractions.
In 1872 Cody started his career as an actor in Wild West shows in Chicago. Cody, with the troupe of "the Scouts of the Prairie", staged for ten years.
