The Warren live in Monroe, Connecticut in the United States of America

Summary

Our couple of demonologists receive Father Gordon in their Connecticut home. The Scottish church urgently asked for help with cases of missing children and cats. According to the local authorities, a satanic sect is at work in one of the castles in East Lothian. Ed and Lorraine agree to travel to Scotland to investigate the rumours. What will they discover?

Tantallon Castle, East Lothian, Scotland

This is the castle where the cult is said to live. It is a ruined castle in the province of Haddington, the capital of the county of East Lothian. Tantallon Castle is a ruined 14th-century fortress in East Lothian, Scotland, built by William Douglas, 1st Earl of Douglas. It has been besieged several times and is the last short-lived medieval castle in Scotland.

Máire, the Mistress of Evil

The cult led by Máire is called the Children of Asmodeus, because it is above all this demon that they pray to before Satan. Their hideout is in one of the castle walls. You have to recite an incantation in Scottish Gaelic to enter. Cha deach buaidh a thoirt air, an-còmhnaidh fo eagal Which means "Never Conquered, Always Feared." Then the wall opens and you have to descend a staircase of weathered stone, an almost endless spiral staircase, to reach a huge room.
