NEW MEXICO

New mexico is a state in the southwestern United States. Its capital is Santa Fe, while the most populous city is Albuquerque. Considered one of the states of the Rocky Mountains, it is the 5th largest and 36th largest among the 50 states of the Union. It is called "the Spanish State of America", because while New Mexico has no official language legally, Spanish is in common use alongside English. It is also the state with the highest percentage of Hispanics of any part of the United States, while the Catholic religion is the most widespread in the state, because its inhabitants are both descendants of Spanish settlers and immigrants from Mexico, Central and South America.
