Ferrari and Scuderia Ferrari

PRESENTATION

Motor Presentation

Enzo Ferrari founded Scuderia Ferrari on November 16, 1929, in Modena, which is still Ferrari's main racing division. The Ferrari car brand began on March 12, 1947, when Enzo started building cars under his name, although the company was officially named "Auto Costruzioni Ferrari" in 1957. The first car to carry this name was the 125 S, which debuted in Piacenza on May 11, 1947, driven by Franco Cortese. Although he retired from that race, Cortese secured Ferrari's first victory two weeks later in Rome.

As shown, the cars over the years have become increasingly rounded and therefore aerodynamic. This has led to less friction with the air and better performance. Someone might say that nowadays, cars are less powerful than their predecessors, but this make them safer and more stable on the track. In fact, racing cars are subjected to different forces such as: g-force, downforce, air friction, asphalt friction, constantly changing speeds and much more. So thanks to the stronger structure and slightly lower performance, there are almost no fatal accidents.
