In zona Colle Maralto, vi è la Fonte Canale, situata nell’omonima via.In tale area, sono stati rinvenuti reperti preromani a carattere votivo, che hanno fatto supporre che l’organismo idrico avesse una destinazione sacrale.Non è possibile, però, ricostruire la primitiva configurazione architettonica della fontana, che conserva l’aspetto tipico della seconda metà del 1800.All’esterno la fontana si presenta con nove vasche in pietra e laterizi, preromane e nove archi a sesto acuto, medievali, restaurati dal sindaco D. Bindi nel 1974. Le arcate sono realizzate con mattoni e incorniciate da un sottile bardellone in cotto, formato da elementi in laterizio appositamente sagomato.All’interno i cunicoli lunghi diverse centinaia di metri sono stati scavati nel conglomerato e nella maggior parte dei casi sono rivestiti in mattoni e tegulae mammatae.
