DESCRIBING YOUR JOB I work as a sales assistant in big clothes store. I'm responsible for greeting and serving customers from the moment they enter the shop. Sales assistants are expected to advise customers and answer any queries they may have, from stock availability and details of special offers to a product’s price. I have to understand the products we sell, so I can give as much information as possible. It's also my job to work in the tills from time to time.For this job, you need special qualifications, for example a degree in Sales and Commercial Spaces Management. Of course, you need to be a people person because you will deal with customers everyday. You also need to be good at taking orders and managing deliveries.I find my job really stimulating. I've always loved working in contact with people, so this job is perfect for me. However, it can get a bit exhausting sometimes, for examplewhen you have to stay until the closure of the shop or when you have to deal with complaints. But on the whole, I really enjoy my work.
