HOW TO PLAY
Welcome to our Irregular Verbs Snakes and Ladders game! This activity is designed to help you review and practice irregular verbs in English, focusing on the past simple and present perfect tenses. 1. You will work in teams. Each team will take turns rolling the dice and moving across the board. Each team member will take turns answering one question. This way, everyone gets to practice! 2. Every square on the board has a question related to irregular verbs. • For each correct answer, your team will earn 1 point! • If your answer is incorrect, don’t worry! You just won’t earn a point for that question, but you’ll have more chances later. 5. If a player rolls a 6, they can move twice in one turn. However, if a player rolls three 6s in a row, they must return to the starting square. 6. When a team reaches the last square, they must answer the final question correctly to win the game. If they answer incorrectly, they will move back 5 squares! 7. Throughout the game, keep track of the points each team accumulates (Your teacher will to, so no cheating). • At the end of the game, points will determine the ranking: second, third, and fourth place. • However, the ultimate winner will be the team that successfully answers the final question!
If your team lands at the bottom of a ladder, you’ll need to answer a question correctly in order to climb up the ladder.
