The first ever Womens Rights convention took place in Seneca Falls, New York where 68 women and 32 men signed a declaration of sentiments. This being an agenda that was going to set in place the Womens Rights Movement. This occurred in 1847. Two years later, in 1849, the first ever National Womens Rights Convention took place in Worcester, Massachusetts. Over 1,000 participants were attracted by this new movement.

Sojourner Truth was one of the first women to make a speech for the movement year 1850, which is referred to "Ain't I A Women". She was a former slave for years and she later went to achieve many accomplishments like releasing a book and advocating to end slavery and women's rights. Later in year 1865, Elizabeth Cary Stanton and Susan B. Anthony established the American Equal Rights Association which was dedicated to the goal of "universal suffrage". This played a role in the Womens Equal Rights Movement.

In 1919, Susan B. Anthony's Womens Suffrage Amedment is passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate. It is then later sent to the states for ratification where it is then later decided by Tennessee that the 19th amendment is certified as law. The 19th amendment states, "the right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex". The National Womens Suffrage Association then disbands as it's already accomplished its purpose.

In 1973, Jane Roe decided to file a lawsuit against Henry Wade who was the district attorney of Dallas, Texas at the time. Her motive in this was to decriminalize abortion as it was named as "unconstitutional". She later went to win her case and the Court granted a Womens Right to privacy and security.Until recent years, Roe V. Wade was overturned specifically in 2022, where it granted each state their right to make a decision on how they wish to implement abortion laws.

After the Election in 2017 where Donald Trump because the new president of the United States, many women were taken aback by comments and new policies trump wanted to implement in his term. Due to this distress, Women decided to hit the streets of Washington D.C. and protest the White House for their Womens Rights. Its as if history was repeating itself at the time almost a century later. The march was initiated by Teresa Shook and managed to impact the Women's Rights Movement once more and bring activism and attention to the issue once more.
