W.I.N.-ning Strategies: Organizing Groups for Primary Success Participants will gain insights into how Westview Primary organizes, structures, and manages its W.I.N. (What I Need) groups. This includes a deep dive into the processes and systems used to create and sustain groups, the types of files and data Westview keeps for ongoing monitoring and group adjustments, and the tools used to streamline organization. Participants will also engage in a facilitated discussion to share practices, explore challenges, and brainstorm solutions tailored to the needs of primary-level W.I.N. groups in different buildings. Understanding and Managing Escalated Students with Dysregulated Feelings Because we are seeing a post-COVID increase in emotional stress and dysregulation in our students, I will be presenting a repeat of my popular de-escalation strategies session from 2019. This session will review the science and causes for why students become dysregulated and have escalated behaviors.
