Welcome to the Loan Support Academy! Today is your first day. As a new joinee, you start as a "Loan Junior." Your goal is to climb the corporate to become a "Master Loan Advisor." Along the way, you encounter different challenges, such as skeptical customers, compliance barriers, and changing loan policies. Your mission is to help customers complete their journey successfully, ensuring their financial needs are met. We work for explore credit. Explore Credit is a short-term installment lender. Our parent company is Hive Financial Services. The connection between the two companies:

What do we do?

Our job is divided into two parts: ​ Originate loans: meaning you convince people to take a loan with us. ​ Collect payments: meaning you have to convince people to pay us back. ​ ​

How do we do that?

• We offer loans in 35 states. ​

• Loans between $500-$2500; terms are 8-12 months to pay back.​

• This is a high-interest product. Our interest rates are between 400%—795%​

Why are our interest rates so high?​

• Many of our borrowers have low or no credit history. We mitigate this higher credit risk by charging higher interest rates.

• Yet, to make this easier on the customer, we offer flexible repayment options and thus have a lot of repeat customers

• Unlike most high-interest lenders who expect repayment within 1-2 weeks, we give our customers up to a year to pay off their loans.​

How do customers find us?​

Customers can apply for a loan with us 3 ways:​1, Lead providers​ 2. Via our website - www.explorecredit.com​ 3. OR if they are repeat customers, they can apply for a loan from the customer portal​

Where do our customers come from?​

Customers typically apply on partner websites. That site will digitally send their application to us to underwrite, if they pass our underwriting, we will pre-approve them for a loan and their information shows up on the LMS for our customer service team to call. ​ Sometimes, our customers will not know who we are because they didn’t directly apply with us. They use third party google websites which then direct them to us​

What are coupons?

Coupons are what we use to convince customers. We use them in two different ways:​  When a customer indicates they are no longer interested – try to convince them with a coupon code.​  When a customer indicates the interest rate is too high, offer a coupon code to reduce the interest rate. ​

Where do you find coupon codes?​

New coupon codes are generated each week and shared with agents. ​ If a coupon code is expired, or if a customer mentions it is expired, let your manager know. ​ ​

What do different loan amounts do?

It allows us to meet the needs of the customer based on the rules or approval from underwriting. If a person has applied for a 500 $ loan but has only been approved for 350 dollars, instead of cancelling the loan all together, we would ask them to resign the loan document and provide them with their approved amount. It is then up to the customer if they would like to still go ahead or cancel the application​
