Importance of a vet vist
Feline leukemia virus (FeLV)
You should take your cat to the vet if they have FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus) because this virus significantly weakens their immune system, making them highly susceptible to secondary infections, so regular checkups are crucial to catch and treat issues early, potentially extending their lifespan and quality of life; there is currently no cure for FeLV, so proactive management with a veterinarian is key.
Signs

Weight loss, poor coat condition, fever,pale gums, Imflammation of the gums and mouth, Infections, Diarrhea, Neurological Disorders, Eye Conditions, Breathing Probelms, Swollen Lymph nodes, Yellowing of the eyes or mouth, and unexplained weight loss.

Vaccines And Preventions
Symptoms
Cats lose weight grafdually over time, persistant fever, enlarged lymph nodes appear as lumps under skin yellow color around eyes and whites of the eyes, gingivitis and stomatitis, infection on skin urinary bladder and respiratory tract, persistant diarrhea, experience seixures amd hehavior change, squinting and eye redness, and difficulty breathing.

Kittens should receive vaccination at around 8-12 weeks of age. As for outdoor cats they should receive annual vaccinations after initial series. Indoor cats are set as non-core vaccine yet you will need to consult with a veterinarian to talk about getting your cat vaccinated or not. Some preventions are to keep cats indoors test cats for FeLV, spay and neuter cats, and provide care for community cats.
