(Elves are talking to each other; trying to convince the others that humans are real.)

1 Victoria/Juliet: What are you reading? Is it fiction or is it fact? 2 Allison/Kayla: Oh, it’s a book about human beings, and about the way they act. 3 Natanael/Leonel: Oh it really must be fiction then. Real humans are inconceivable. 4 Valeria/Amy: No human could actually exist. The things they do are unbelievable!

SCENE 2

Arriaga, Cruz

1 Arantza/Diego: I’m telling you, I think they are real! 2 Irving/Kevin: But have you actually ever seen a real human being? 3 Camila: Once I saw some tracks in the snow that must have been 10 inches long! 4 Bashala/Xavier (Brown): And I heard a giant person singing a totally human song. 1 Ava/Kristina: Really? What did it sound like?

4 Bashala/Rylie: It was a little bit scary, but it went something like this. (very loudly) DECK THE HALLS WITH BOUGHS OF HOLLY! FA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA! All: YIKES! That IS scary! 1 Reid/John: Enough about humans. We have lots of work to do, so let’s cut the chat! 2 David/Leah (Tullos): We’ve got to make toys and presents and stuff. 3 Rylie/Anahi:No matter how much we make, it never seems enough.

1 Alize: Wait a minute! Wait a minute! I can’t make one more. 2 Valentina/Sofia (Ruiz): Besides, if humans aren’t real, who are we making these presents for? 3 Abigail/Angel: But they are real! They are as real as you and me. 4 Gigi/Noah : Sometimes you have to believe in things that you can’t see.

2 Kristina: You mean like this? (snores) 3 Amy (Arriaga): Or this? (snores) All: Like this? (making hilarious snoring sounds.) 4 Arianna/Amy (Arriaga): I hear they are big and loud and hairy! 1 Dariana/Victoria (Arriaga): Let’s face it! If humans are real, they sure are scary!

1 Alize: One time, I heard this huge human snoring. It sounded like a lion that was growling and roaring! All: Noooooo! Alize: Yes. It sounded like this! (snores) (All gasp!)

Silly Humans Solos 2 Arianna (Arreola) : Solo 1 Arriaga 4 Victoria: We heard when they’re tired, they go for a run. 1 Allison: They lie for hours in blazing sun! 2 Amy: They sound so bizarre. 3 Valeria: They’re from the unknown. 4Arantza: They line up forever just to buy a new phone! 2 Ashtyn (Weaver): Solo 2

(Santa enters with a normal human.) 2 Santa: Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas! All: Merry Christmas, Santa! Santa: Look who I brought: a real human! All: Gasp! 1 Isabel: He seems almost real, but can that be? Santa: He’s real, all right, but he’s having his doubts. He’s worried that Happy Holidays are on their way out!

3 Isabel/Lucas: What? What? He can’t be serious! He’s just overworked! He must be delirious! Santa: I know, you’re right! I know this is true. If anyone can show him, I know that it’s you. 4 Ashtyn: You see Mr. Human sir, here in Elflandia we spend the whole year wondering if human beings really even exist. But every year, Santa comes home from his trip around the world and tells us of the amazing things he sees. 1 Alexia/Gio: He sees humans of every shape and size, helping others and being nice.

3 Faith/AJ: He sees people being kind and good to one another. 4 Olivia (Brown)/Aubrey: Then he comes home and tells us about it, and it makes all our hard work worthwhile.

All Part of the Story (Ruiz/Tullos) Maddie 1/ Izeylie 2: Friends are at the shelter, making dinner for the poor. Alan 3/ Abby O. 4: and no one leaves there hungry when they knock upon the door. Valeria 1/ Brenden 2: For people feeling lonely, we can sing a friendly song. Mateo 3/ Noah 4: and others led the coat drive bringing warmth all season long.

1 Victor/Yaremi: Wow! You’re the only human we’ve ever seen! 2 Maddie/Genesis: Santa tells us that humans are wonderful, and that we should be glad to make them Christmas presents. 3 Officer Smith: Why would you doubt him? After all, he’s Santa Claus! All: (with hands to face as in Home Alone) He TALKS!!!!

4 Junior/Jonathan: Well, now that we know humans are real, there’s only one thing left to do. 1 Valeria/Junior: (to the audience) We’d like to take a picture with every one of you! 2 Victor: So clear the way and watch your feet. 3 Alan: Elves are coming down the aisle! 4 Sofia: Sit up nice and straight, my friends, and put on a happy smile. 😁
