What's an Academic Advisor?

In GISD, an Academic Advisor helps students align their high school plan to their post- secondary goals.

Our primary focus is to increase student awareness and understanding of:

• GPA & Graduation Requirements
• Endorsements & District's Programs of Study
• Personal career interests and their corresponding high school courses to include electives, advanced academics & CTE courses.
• Many other Future Ready topics.
