What is NDVI?
- It is a metric that measures the density and health of vegetation.
- Measures in a range from -1.0 to +1.0.
- Dense vegetation- Higher values ranging from 0.6-0.9
- Sparse vegetation- Moderate values ranging from 0.2-0.5
- Barren areas- Low values ranging from 0.1 to the negatives.
There is an association between green spaces and tree canopies and higher median incomes.

Areas with a dense tree canopies typically have lower temperatures
