How Animals and Plants Help Each Other in Nature!
Learning more about the relationship between plants and animals!
Learning Objectives!
- Today, you will identify how plants and animals depend on each other for survival by providing examples such as how bees help flowers grow and how trees provide shelter and food for animals.
- Students will explain how people can help take care of plants and animals in their environment by describing actions like planting trees, recycling, and protecting animals’ homes.
- Students will analyze simple ecosystems to understand the roles that plants, animals, and people play in maintaining a healthy environment.
Today we will:
An ecosystem is a place where plants, animals, and people live. Everyone in the ecosystem works together to stay healthy and happy! Nature is connected! Humans can help or harm nature. By caring for the environment and using resources wisely, we can protect our planet!

How Do Animals Help Plants?
Some animals help plants grow! For example, bees visit flowers and take pollen from one flower to another. This helps the flowers make seeds to grow new plants.
In a bright garden, a busy honeybee buzzes from one colorful flower to another collecting golden pollen on its tiny legs while helping the flowers grow and making sweet honey for the hive!
How Do Plants Help Animals?
Plants give animals food and places to live. Trees, for example, have leaves and fruit for animals to eat, and they make a safe home for birds.

How Do Plants Help People?
Plants also help people! Trees give us clean air to breathe, and we eat fruits and vegetables from plants to stay healthy.
