Health Effects of Alcoholic Beverages Consumption
The moment you have a sip of alcohol, your body begins to change and you won’t even notice it yet. The more and more you drink, the more noticeable these changes will be and cause more problems for you and people around you.
Short term effects:
- Impaired decision making
- Decreased reaction time
- Losing vision focus
- Coordination is reduced
- Alcohol poisoning
Short term effects of alcohol
As you get older, if you continue to drink alcohol, it will impact your body negatively. It can cause parts of your body to shut down, having your body be in serious danger.
Long term effects of alcohol:
- Cardiovascular disease
- Cancer
- Liver Disease
- High blood pressure
- Stroke
- Weaken immune system
Long term effects of alcohol
Alcohol can not only affect yourself physically but can hurt you socially. Addiction to alcohol or irresponsible drinking can hurt how you socialize and people around you.

When someone is drinking, they’re not only putting themselves in harms way but also the people around them. Drinking can harm the people around you if you’re drinking irresponsibly.

When drinking it’s always important to ensure your safety. If you are going to be drinking then be responsible, it could save your life.
Safety tips:
- Don’t have your car keys on you
- Stay with a group
- Have people who are sober
- Don’t drink and drive

If you’re going to be around people who are drinking, it’s important to ensure your own safety. You want to make sure the people around you aren’t going to get violent or do anything dangerous.

- If with friends, watch their drinks
- With group, have all phones charged
- Ensure safety of people you’re with
- Know where exits are.

Drinking is something many people engage with. It’s important for many people to know the effects alcohol have short and long term on their bodies and their social life. Also knowing how being around people drinking can cause harm to others and its important to have some safety tips.
