COMMUNICATION PROBLEM

The issue at hand is scheduling. Many companies have an issue with scheduling, whether it’s in the hands of their managers, or a higher-up.

Why is this an issue?

At Dunkin', schedules are done one week before every Thursday, so it's hard to prepare your schedule if your manager doesn't know the days you are free.

Crew members might be called in or asked the day before to work an extra shift.

People have lives, no one can work all of the time.

Even after telling the manager, they might forget or not write it down.

Message my coworkers seperately or in the groupchat for emergencies if I needed my shift covered the day of or the week of. This allows me to also cover their shifts if needed.

Contact my boss through phone call, messages, or in person during my shift to notify her when I am unable to work.

Working together better so we can be one step ahead of our scheduling issues.
