Voices of the Void

A survival sci-fi experience with elements of exploration and simulation.

START

The Story of Votv

In Votv (Voices of the Void), you work as a scientist in the isolated research lab in the mountains of Switzerland. Your task is to collect and analyze signals from space, then process and sell them to earn points.

Gameplay and mechanics

As I’ve already mentioned, you will work searching for signals, processing and selling them to earn points. With these points, it is possible to buy upgrades for the gameplay, making it easier, faster, and more automatic. It’s also possible to buy other useful items, like food, tools, decorations, and even a robot called Kerfur, who will help you fix the antennas.

Gameplay and mechanics

You can also explore the map while your signals are being analyzed, searching for secrets, discovering pieces of the game's story, and collecting resources and items. You have an infinite number of things to do.

The Visual Style and More

The beauty of psychological horror

I particularly love this game for its unique atmosphere of psychological horror, constant tension, and paranoia, as well as the events that occur randomly and can be quite traumatizing the first time you experience them. I also like the low-poly style, which is another feature I really enjoy in games, especially in horror ones.

And to conclude, I recommend this game for those who enjoy psychological horror games with a touch of paranoia, as well as games that feature a lengthy campaign and simulation elements, giving you the freedom to do many things. This game is currently in pre-alpha, version 0.8.0, and is only available for computers, free on Itch.io.
