Hadrian's Wall was built between 122 and 128 AD by by the emperor Hadrian. It was 117.5 km long, 3 meters wide, and 4.4 meters tall, it run from the west to the east coast of Britain. On every mile, there was a gate with two guard towers for traders, and every 11 miles there were bigger forts. The wall began to decay after the fall of the Western Roman Empire and lost its importance.
