I had the opportunity to intern at this company from September 2 to September 15. I genuinely enjoyed my experience and felt like I was contributing positively to the team. Unfortunately, I had to miss the last week due to a health issue, which was quite upsetting for me. I was really looking forward to continuing my work and further developing my skills, as I had formed a great connection with my colleagues and the projects I was involved in.

Omnia Group is an IT consulting company that has been supporting medium and large Italian enterprises for over 25 years in the implementation and integration of enterprise IT solutions.They design, modernize, and integrate software, enabling digital transformation processes by utilizing the best technologies available in the market. Working at Omnia Group was a fantastic experience. The people were incredible, and it felt like I had been part of the company for a long time. Everyone was welcoming and always willing to help, which created a supportive and friendly environment. I truly enjoyed every moment and appreciated the sense of team spirit among my colleagues.

At Omnia Group, I found a highly modern and technologically advanced environment, meticulously designed down to the smallest details. This atmosphere greatly facilitated my integration into the workplace and made it easy for me to feel at home from the very beginning.

At Omnia Group, I had the opportunity to work with a team of seven interns, always accompanied by two mentors: a team leader and a psychologist. This supportive structure provided valuable guidance and fostered a collaborative atmosphere that enhanced my learning experience.

Activity 1 : Study of the organizational structure and teamwork

Study of the organizational structure and teamwork

During the first week, we received comprehensive training on how the company operates and the different teams that make it up. This introduction provided us with a clear understanding of the organizational structure and the various functions within the company. Following this overview, we delved into the specific roles of each team member and learned about the importance of collaboration. The sessions emphasized how effective teamwork is crucial for achieving our collective goals, equipping us with the skills and knowledge to work cohesively in our projects.

Our Project

We were tasked with creating an application that would allow employees to submit anonymous reports, which company administrators could read and address if necessary.Additionally, we were informed that this project was part of a much larger initiative, and unfortunately, we were unable to complete it within the given timeframe, although we came quite close. The application was developed using Java, as well as a new framework for us called Angular Material, which required significant study and effort before we could effectively implement it.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, my experience at Omnia Group has been truly fantastic. I had the privilege of meeting amazing people and felt incredibly fortunate to be part of such a dynamic company. While I was disappointed that I couldn’t complete my internship, this opportunity opened my eyes to the many interesting areas within the IT field from a business perspective. I am grateful for everything I learned and the connections I made during my time at Omnia Group, that gave me some food for thought.
