opening prayer

Healed by wounds

group

Lord, teach us to see vulnerability as part of your design.

NEXT

facilitator

The word vulnerable means “able to be wounded.” But vulnerability isn’t a flaw—it’s a necessary and valuable part of being human. Even in perfection, Adam and Eve could err. Even Jesus, who was perfect, was able to bleed. We were made to need one another, to live in interdependence, and vulnerability allows us to grow and connect.

group

Lord, help us trust that our vulnerability can lead to strength.

When we are vulnerable, we open ourselves to both hurt and healing. Because vulnerability feels like weakness, it may cause us to feel afraid, but vulnerability isn’t about being weak—it’s about finding strength through the help of others and through God.

group

Lord, remind us that we are stronger together.

Many of us instinctually feel that vulnerability is something to hide or avoid. It is not. The ability to be wounded is something that we were created with and it is part of who we are. It’s through our vulnerability that we form relationships, support each other, and live in unity.

group

Lord, help us embrace our need for others and for you.

NEXT

facilitator

God does not see our vulnerabilities as flaws. He made us to rely on each other, to be interdependent. It’s in our weakness that his strength is made perfect.

group

Lord, lead us to find strength through the connections you’ve given us.

Vulnerability isn’t about being broken—it’s about being open to connection, healing, and growth. Just as muscles grow stronger after being worked, we grow stronger in our relationships and faith through moments of vulnerability.

group

Lord, make us one, as you are one. Amen.

NEXT

God calls us to unity, and unity requires vulnerability. It is not something to fear, but something to embrace, because it’s through vulnerability that we become the community he desires us to be.
