New York si trova nel Nord America più precisamente nella parte est degli USA. Si trova nella parte ovest del planisfero. È la città più popolosa e il quartiere più famoso e importante è Manhattan.

Time square

Times Square è una delle principali piazze di New York; ed è la più grande di New York. Si trova nel quartiere di Midtown, nel distretto di Manhattan, il più grande di New York.Times Square è una delle attrazioni turistiche più popolari di New York. Times Square è conosciuta come "il crocevia del mondo" e i suoi schermi LED luminosi, l'atmosfera vibrante e le numerose attrazioni la rendono una tappa obbligata di qualsiasi viaggio a New York.

La statua della Libertà

La statua della Libertà, il cui nome completo è la Libertà che illumina il mondo, inaugurata nel 1886, è un simbolo di New York e degli interi Stati Uniti d'America, uno dei monumenti più importanti e conosciuti al mondo. È situata all'entrata del porto sul fiume Hudson al centro della baia di Manhattan, sulla rocciosa Liberty Island.Dono della Francia al popolo degli Stati Uniti, fu realizzata dal francese Auguste Bartholdi, con la collaborazione di Gustave Eiffel, (che progettò la torre Eiffel). Raffigura una personificazione della Libertà, avvolta da una lunga toga, nell'atto di elevare fieramente una fiaccola al cielo, mentre con l'altra mano tiene una tavola reca la data della Dichiarazione d'indipendenza degli Stati Uniti d'America (il 4 luglio 1776).

| CENTRAL PARK

Central Park

Central Park è il parco più grande New York, si trova a Manhattan nella parte alta della città ed è tra due quartieri residenziali. È diviso in due parti: la parte est chiamata Upper east side e la parte ovest chiamata Upper west side. Le varie parti prendono il nome in base alla loro posizione nel parco. E anche le strade nelle vicinanze hanno il nome del parco. È lungo 4km e viene soprannominato "polmone verde" di New York.

Le torri gemelle

Le torri gemelle vennero costruite nel 1966 e vennero inaugurate 4 aprile 1973. E fino al quel momento erano i grattacieli più alti mai costruiti. Però l'11 settembre del 2001 un'attentato da parte del gruppo terroristico al-Quida le distrusse facendo schiantare 2 aerei civili quindi di linea contro esse. Il capo dell'attentanto era Osama Bin Laden che venne condannato e il 2 novembre 2011 venne processato.Le persone che lavoravano nelle torri morirono tutti a parte una signora che riuscì a sopravvivere e un'altra che quel giorno non andò al lavoro. Oggi al posto delle torri ci sono grandi vasche dove sui bordi ci sono i nomi delle vittime
