What is VSMP ?

VSMP is a group created in October 2024 in order to play Virtual Sailor, a great ship simulator but it can become quite difficult as it is very open and has variety of possibilities. In this guide you will learn about the sim, how to play multiplayer and how to join our Roleplay, for more info and to participate in multiplayer sessions join our discord server linked below ! First Steps

In VSNG, you can't play Multiplayer without having the same ships as other people in the game in your vehicles folder.

What you have to do : - Backup your current vehicles folder in a safe directory - Create a new empty vehicles folder in your game files - Then you will have to decide what ship to put in that folder, but remember, everyone playing in the same session needs the same ships

Network

Even though it seems like you can connect to a session with the in-game network tab, there are a few more steps, but don't worry, it's not that difficult First you will need to download RadminVPN Then, execute it and download it, ignore the error messages

Connecting

It's very easy to connect to a Network or to create one :

1 - Click the On/Off toggle button 2 - Then you will see a popup page open, you can chose to create an account but you don't have to.

To Join a Network : Click the "Join a Network" buttonEnter the info that the host gave you

To Create a Network : Click the "Create a Network" buttonEnter the name you want and a password you'll have to give to players

In-game

You're almost done ! Just a few steps left in game and you'll be good to go. VSNG and Hamachi work together, but they are two different things, when connected to a Hamachi network, in-game you will have to go to "Network", the click connect, and then click "Host a new session", then give the IP to a friend (the port will always be the same).

If you want to connect to a network, do the same steps, in the remote IP and port, only fill the IP box with the one given by the host, the port will be the same, then click "join an existing session.

To ensure an agreable and realistic experience we ask you to follow a few rules

Basic Conduct - Vocal and Chat

When in a Vocal chat we ask you to speak clearly, in an understandable manner so port control and other players enjoy their experience and can have a realistic experience, that means no voice modifier and no screaming or blowing into your microhpone
