Flourishing Tools

We are inspired by 1 Thess. 1:3 to see all people living by faith, laboring in love and enduring through hope in Jesus. This is more than surviving – it’s thriving and flourishing. We’ve used Barna Research Group’s five areas of flourishing to organize resources that we believe will help you flourish and, in turn, live inspired by Jesus, impacting our city and the world. Go here for our flourishing resource lists. Take an online self-assessment to help you determine what areas of flourishing you should focus on first here.

Visio Divina is translated from Latin as “divine seeing.” It is related to the prayer form Lectio Divina (divine reading). But instead of Scripture, this form of prayer uses visual elements to help set your mind on prayer. It allows God to speak into your heart through the image. You are invited to experience this image through Visio Divina. Visio Divina Questions:What thoughts or feelings does this image evoke? Is there something God wants you to see? To hear? What kind of prayer rises within you as you ponder this work? Go ahead and express that to God now.READ Job 38:1-17, 34-41 and Matthew 6:25-34
