The Monument to Isaak Presizen's Crew

The plane of Precizen's crew was carrying out missions in the same area as Gastello and Maslov. The gas tank was pierced by German anti-aircraft fire and the plane caught fire. The flame could not be put out. Precizen decided to nosedive onto the highway into the midst of fascists tanks. The explosion was enormous: traffic in this area was interrupted for three days. A monument to him and his comrades was erected at the site of the feat

The Monument to Nikolai Gastello Crew

It is a war monument which height is 15 metres. The author of this work is sculptor A. Anikeichik, architects V. Zankovich and L. Levin. Nikolai Gastello with his crew directed the burning plane towards an accumulation of enemy tanks. The pilots died but lots of fascist vehicles and tanks were exploded.Together with him there were R. Skorobogaty, A. Burdenyuk and A. Kalinin. The location of the monument is not historically reliable.
