I think ‘brain drain’ has more positives than negatives. For example, for host countries, the arrival of skilled professionals in most cases, foster creativity and new ideas, they also bring in diverse perspectives which leads to cultural diversity and new innovations. The immigrants also fill important roles in society and if they’re starting new businesses, they are creating jobs and therefore boosting the economic growth. Now for the home countries, there are also a lot of positive points, including their local economies: As the migrants are sending money home, this helps support the families and through that the local economies. Apart from the money, the immigrants bring back home new knowledge, expertise and experiences, which the local industries can learn and benefit a lot from. As a general point, ‘brain drain’ creates ties between countries and therefore international collaborationsJe suis un paragraphe prêt à accueillir votre créativité, vos histoires et vos anecdotes.I think ‘brain drain’ has more positives than negatives. Personally, I think there are more negatives than positives, as the ‘brain drain’ can increase income inequality between poor and rich people, which contrary to your opinion makes the economic state of the world worse. The home countries can start making less efforts and investments to get a better education system, which then contributes to the ‘brain drain’. The inequalities between countries which are developing and already developed countries is going to be more and more apparent, the developing countries are always going to stay behind and have more difficulties, compared to the already developed countries, which will be more and more advanced. The loss of talented people which could’ve contributed to the development of the country, doesn’t help. There is also a high chance of the home countries getting dependent on the money being sent to them. Another issue would be the loss of workers, because less people and especially less educated people means less workers in a lot of important fields.
