2.04A - amending the constitution
- Millions of Americans are uninsured or underinsured, due to increasing healthcare expenses, affecting their access to essential medical services
- In 2021, 28 million people didn't have health insurance
- The lack of acces affects mostly low-income families, the elderly and marginalized communities

- The system has an effect in the well-being and economic situation of citizens
- No proper medical care can result in serious health problems, causing increased medical costs and financial pressure on both families and the overall economy
- Furthermore, the Covid-19 pandemic pointed out the weaknesses in the U.S. healthcare system, expanding the necessity to create a system that is both inclusive and easily accessible for everyone.
Importance
Universal or national health care

- Establishing a structure for national health care that is publicly funded
- Creating a society where individuals can seek treatment without fear of financial ruin
- Allowing a system that prioritizes patient care over profit
Solving the problem
Benefits of the amendment
Enhance the overall quality of life for millions.
Reduce health inequalities, improve public health outcomes
Ensure every American has acces to necessary healthcare services
- Through better resource distribution and planning, we can manage it perfectly
- Many countries with universal care still have satisfied patients with access to essential services.
- Some could claim that it could result in longer wait times for medical procedures and appointments due to increased demand.
- Even if taxes go up, people can save money on medical bills, and healthier people can work better and help the economy, which can make up for the higher taxes

Arguments against
- Some may argue that implementing universal healthcare would lead to increasing taxes
