The screen won't turn on, and the power indicator light is off.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Make sure the power cord is plugged in to an outlet.
- Check that the power plug is securely connected.
- Verify that the power outlet is working.
- Ensure the rocker switch is in the "on" position.
- Press the reset switch and restart the system.
The remote control isn't working.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Replace the batteries in the remote.
- Make sure the batteries are installed correctly, with the correct polarity.
- Point the remote directly at the IR receiver, which is in the bottom right corner of the display, next to the power button.
The screen shows an image, but there's no sound.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Increase the volume on both the screen and the connected Windows OPS.
- Ensure neither the screen nor the Windows OPS is muted.
- If using an external computer, check that all connection cables are secure and functioning properly. Additionally, check that the volume is not muted on either the computer or the display.
The system turns on or off by itself when no one is using it.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Disable the automatic power on and off settings. To do this:
- 1. Select the "Settings" application from the panel's home screen.
- 2. Scroll down and select "Power."
- 3. Ensure "Auto Power On" and "Auto Power Off" are toggled to the "off" position.
- Check if the screen has entered sleep mode due to inactivity based on the energy saving settings.
- Verify that the power supply is stable.
The colors on the screen look off or abnormal.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Make sure the HDMI cable is securely connected and of good quality.
The touch function is not working or is inaccurate.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Restart the screen.
- Ensure the disable touch feature is not enabled.
- Recalibrate the touch function in the Windows system (see the "Callibration" section for details.
The touch function doesn't work when using an external signal source.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Try switching between different external signal sources.
- Ensure the USB touch cable is properly connected if using an HDMI connection. If using a USB-C connection, ensure that the USB-C cable is functioning correctly.
- Reconnect the USB touch cable if needed.
There's no sound when using the HDMI input channel.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Disconnect and reconnect the HDMI cable.
No image is displayed when using the HDMI output channel.
Troubleshooting steps:
- The issue could be due to incompatibility with the external display. Try using a different display and test again.
- If the HDMI cable is too long or of poor quality, try using the HDMI cable that came included with your Newline panel.
The front panel buttons aren't responding.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Use the full surface of your fingertip when pressing the buttons.
- Ensure your hands are dry.
- Ensure front buttons lock is not enabled in the settings.
- Restart the display.
The USB flash drive isn't responding.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Make sure the USB flash drive is inserted into the correct USB port (see "Ports" section.
- Ensure that USB lock isn't enabled in the panel's settings.
The system says, "The target storage product has no write permissions" when trying to save to a USB flash drive.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Format the USB flash drive to the FAT32 file system.
The OPS (Open Pluggable Specification) has no signal.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Ensure the OPS module is properly inserted in its slot in the rear of the display.
- Check if the OPS is in shutdown mode.
- Press the OPS power button to manually start it (see the OPS instructions for details).
No wireless networks are detected or the Wi-Fi signal is weak.
Troubleshooting steps:
- Ensure the Wi-Fi antenna is correctly installed.
- Check if the Wi-Fi antenna is properly installed on the OPS module.
