We use PRESENT PERFECT SIMPLE to say how many times we have done something or how much we have completed of something. For example:

  • You have looked at those jeans twice. Why don't you buy them?
  • Ashley has read all the books from this series.
We use it to focus on the present result of an action. For example:
  • I've passed all my exams!
  • I've broken my arm.
