Riscos e desafios éticos

Apesar das promessas, a incorporação da IA na educação apresenta riscos significativos. Um dos principais desafios é a privacidade e segurança dos dados dos estudantes. É importante estar alerta para os perigos do uso de tecnologias que coletam e processam grandes volumes de dados pessoais, questionando como essas informações podem ser usadas por corporações e governos. Na educação, isso levanta preocupações sobre quem controla os dados dos alunos e como eles são protegidos. Os algoritmos não são neutros. Eles refletem as intenções e os preconceitos de seus programadores. Na educação, isso pode significar que estudantes de minorias ou com necessidades especiais sejam prejudicados por sistemas que não foram projetados para atender adequadamente suas necessidades.

Nem todas as escolas apresentam recursos para aplicar inovações tecnológicas avançadas. Por isso, algumas regiões puderão ficar prejudicadas com dificuldade de obtenção destes recursos.

Nem todos os professores tem a mesma afinidade e competências relativamente ao recurso da inteligência artificial.

Nem todos os alunos têm o mesmo acesso e recursos disponíveis. Poderá assim criar-se patamares demasiados distintos na aprendizagem. Os alunos NEE podem ser prejudicados dado que os algoritmos não projetam as suas necessidades.
