Levels 1, 2, & 3
Level 3
Level 1
Levels 1 & 2
1- Place students in the right level of the program
2- Group students for instruction
3- Teach lessons using the scripted text provided in the Teacher Guide
4- Monitor students' progress
- Work check activities
- Checking up activity used as formative-assessment measures
- Placement tests
There are many opportunitites to monitor student progress.
Each book, or level, has their own teacher-directed lessons which are in the Teacher's Guide.
Using the data collected from the assessments, students should be placed at a particular level. Also, use your professional judgement when placing students on levels.*Level 1 is typically designed for small-group instruction of up to 10 students working at the same skill level. Level 1 may also be used on a one-to-one basis.
Students will be assessed using the WTW spelling inventory as well the Passage Reading Fluency (WCPM)
