Winnipeg, here we come! At the Indigenous Family Centre we met Blair. He got connected to the center while walking his daughter to the bus. Now he’s a regular volunteer. These local expressions of the gospel are helping to promote reconciliation and healing with a group that has been historically hurt by the church. Your support is making a real difference here! Your gifts empower us to continue sharing the gospel in culturally sensitive ways, reaching diverse communities with compassion and understanding.
Greetings from Truro, Nova Scotia! Our journey begins at the Spark Conference - a weekend conference for church ministry leaders in the Maritimes. Staff delivered lectures and workshops, helping participants grow in practices of prayer and spiritual discipline, and be renewed in their ministry. You make it possible for CRCNA staff to be there in person and virtually for churches, even those in remote or rural locations. Whether it is keynote speakers, hour-long workshops, or coaching from the denominational prayer shepherd, your gifts provide helpful resources to support congregations in their kingdom work.
We’ve made it to the rockies. The next stop on our heartfelt journey has been seeing the impact of Generation Spark Woody Nook CRC. This program is helping to keep young people connected to their local congregations through intergenerational mentorship. Did you know that mentored young people are 70% more likely to stay engaged with their church? Your support expands our reach and impact in nurturing the faith and future of the next generation.
Hello from Puslinch, Ontario! Here, a group of churches is being equipped with coaching and mentoring to become more multicultural. With projections indicating that by 2041, one out of two Canadians will be a person of colour, and with many of our congregations already blessed with growing diversity, it's crucial to prepare our leaders to live into what this means for their congregations. Thanks to your support, churches embraced diversity through this year's cohort. Many more are eager to join next year.
