Welcome to Room 47!!

Come on in and take a look around!

You'll see our small group tables that we aren't able to use much at this moment. However, once we have our own room again, we will be able to move things around as we want.

Last stop on the tour...

You'll see more desk than we will ever need, since we share a room with another teacher. Our environment will never be overcrowded though.

If you turn to your right...

You'll see the teacher's desk (that is me!) and our classroom's Paraeducator's desk. We are here to assist in any way!

To your left...

Daily Classroom Procedures

Enforcing Rules and Procedures

Positive Reinforcement:

  • Praise and rewards for following rules (e.g., points, stickers, Clip-Up Chart).
Consistent Consequences: Explain the steps for addressing rule-breaking in a supportive way:
  • Verbal Reminder: A gentle nudge to follow the rules.
  • Reflection Time: A moment to think about the behavior.
  • Parent Communication: Involve families if necessary.

Building Our Learning Community

Creating a Safe Space:

  • Every voice matters, and we create a positive classroom by treating each other with kindness.
  • Cooperation helps us learn from one another and build a strong community.
Encouraging Open Communication:
  • It's okay to share your feelings—let’s practice being honest and supportive.
  • We can create a safe environment by listening without judgment and offering help when needed.
