Do you like flying on airplanes?

A Trip to Chicago

“Alright, so we left last Friday. Our flight was at 5:30 in the morning, so we had to be at the airport at 3:30.” “Yeah, your brother told me that you had had to leave really early. Did you just stay up all night?” “That’s what we should have done. But nope, we got up at 2:00, took a taxi to the airport and then waited in the longest queue I have ever seen for security,”
“Jerry, hi! I haven’t seen you in ages. Your brother told me that you had gone to Chicago. How was the trip?” “Oh wow, it was crazy. But really, really good." “Tell me all about it. Here, I’ll buy you a coffee.”
security
“Your brother told me that the flight was really long.” “It lasted a little less than nine hours! And during that entire nine hour period, I don’t think there was one moment that a baby wasn’t crying.” “Oh no, that sounds awful.” “Luckily, I had earplugs. I think I slept a little, but not much.”
“The airport was busy at four in the morning?” “It was packed. And I think the security officers were mostly sleeping, because they were moving so slow. After we finally got through the line, we had to sprint to our gate and the plane was almost ready to leave.”
earplugs
“So, when we arrived, it was only just after noon, and we had the whole afternoon to get settled and get lunch and explore a bit before we had to sleep.” “Your brother told me that you had rented a really nice hotel. How was it?”
“We had a hotel right downtown. We were on the 32nd floor, so we had an excellent view of the lake. It is so big that it looks like an ocean.” “You can’t swim in it though, can you? Your brother told me that you hadn't.” “Well, you can. We just didn’t. It is supposed to be dirty and polluted. Plus it wasn’t that warm.”
polluted
“Wow! I would just make a huge mess with a piece of pizza like that.” “Well, you have to eat it with a fork and knife. It was pretty delicious. So, we were stuffed full and tired, so we just went to finally get a good night’s slumber.”
“Your brother also told me that Chicago had really great food. Did you eat the famous Chicago hot dog?” “We did, but not on that first day. The first day we went to get the deep dish pizza. It’s so thick, it’s like eating a cake of pizza. I think it was about five inches tall.”
