How do you know if an animal is suffering?

entertainment. I wish this activity could be abolished. Rodeos shouldn’t be allowed to continue. The way the animals are treated is so hard to watch.

Sean writes: I just went to my very first rodeo, and I have to say that it is a horrible, terrible activity. I can’t believe all of those animals are made to suffer so much just for a little bit of human

living conditions. A lot of the cowboys really love their animals and have a strong bond with them. I have never seen anyone mistreat an animal in a rodeo.
bond
Michelle argues: What are you talking about? Animals aren’t abused in rodeos. If anything, the riders and organisers take special care of the animals and make sure they have good food, comfortable
are forced into a little pen, where they get a person tied to them. Then the whole spectacle revolves around them trying to make this situation stop. It’s barbaric!
spectacle
Sean continues: That may be true, but during the actual event, you can’t argue that the animals are not well-treated. They are tied up into an uncomfortable position, to make sure that they are aggressive and ready to buck. Then they
to its pen where it is washed, fed healthy food, and allowed to sleep. I really don’t see any problem with this sport at all. Plus, it is a big industry. A lot of people’s livelihood depends on the sports done with these horses.
fed
Michelle answers: Well, it’s not like it is that big of a deal. The whole thing is only about a minute long, so it’s not like the animal is truly suffering. It has a couple minutes of discomfort and then goes back
We should absolutely abolish the sport of rodeo. The horses that are used are suffering terriblly during the event.
I agree that the spectacle might be dangerous, but more for the cowboy than for the horse.
You may think that they are suffering, but really there is a strong bond and the riders take good care of their animals.
You might think they are taking good are of them, but how can they force them into such a dangerous specacle?
