At this point, people in the United States began to move west, into unoccupied territory and take part in the Land Rush. The Land Rush was an event that allowed people to claim a piece of land that had previously belonged to the Native Americans
The Industrial Revolution began and, new production methods were to meet demand,and many manufacturing jobs were available.
And because the standard of life was improving, these children began to have a longer life expectancy. Cities became crowded, food prices skyrocketed and the workers faced a housing shortage.
