Select each button to learn more about the different levels of mastery.
At Tolmar we don't want anyone doing their jobs from memory. Instead they should always reference the current controlled documents governing each process. So remember is not generally the level of mastery to look for.
Understanding is the most basic level of mastery we look for within the competency based training program. One way to tell if a learner has reached this level of mastery is to ask them to explain a concept in their own words.
To reach the Apply level of mastery, a learner needs to be able to explain when it is appropriate to perform the task. They also need to demonstrate doing so in a way that is safe and compliant with the work instruction or test method.
The Analyze level of mastery requires a learner to draw connections between ideas, as well as compare, test, or organize information.
The Evaluate level of mastery requires a learner to justify a decision, or determine the best course of action from a given set of information. This is the most advanced level of mastery we look for within the technical competency based training program.
The Create level of mastery requires the learner to produce something new and original.
